Chris is a Physiotherapist specialising in limb loss and limb absence rehabilitation. He joined Ottobock.care Ireland in January 2025 and brings around 10 years of experience working in this area, alongside many years of experience as a physiotherapist.
What Chris enjoys most about his role is the variety. Every patient is different, and their experience of limb loss or limb absence can affect them in very different ways. He enjoys using his experience to help people of all ages work towards whatever their individual goals may be — from children taking their first steps to older adults working towards greater independence. Some of the most rewarding moments are seeing someone take their first steps after an amputation or use their upper limb functionally for the first time. Seeing the joy and emotion that comes with these milestones is what makes his work so meaningful.
Chris also wants patients to know that physiotherapy can take many forms and happen in many different settings it’s what you do, not what is done to you!
Outside of work, Chris likes to stay active, take part in a variety of sports, and travel. He’s also always happy to have a chat over a good coffee and something sweet!
