Franz is a Prosthetist at Ottobock.care Ireland with 15 years of experience in prosthetics. He has a particular interest in lower-limb prosthetics and the use of digital technology to improve prosthetic care and clinical procedures.
He enjoys working with people at all levels of lower-limb prosthetic rehabilitation and is motivated by helping prosthetic users become more independent and achieve their individual functional goals. Whether that means improving everyday mobility, building confidence or supporting someone towards a specific activity, Franz takes a goal-focused approach to prosthetic care.
Franz is also particularly interested in the continued development of digital technologies within prosthetics and how these can support more personalised and efficient clinical solutions.
Outside of work, Franz enjoys the patience and creativity involved in training bonsai trees — and, at the other end of the spectrum, spending time playing video games or baking.
